August 17, 1917 -- March 5, 1989

Irene Mae Yanoski, 71, of Alamogordo, New Mexico formerly of Klemme, died March 5 at Gerald Champion Memorial Hospital of cancer. Memorial services were held March 7. She was born Aug. 17, 1917, in Iowa, to Reinhold and Minnie (Straatman) Lemke. On Jan 24, 1936 Irene was married to Leonard M. Swanson. To this union one daughter, Janice M., was born. Leonard passed away very suddenly on July 12, 1954. In Klemme, she was past secretary-treasurer of the Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, John W. Yanoski of Alamogordo; one daughter, Mrs. Gene (Janice) Bachman, Klemme; one sister, Mrs. Carl (Meta) Bohn of Garner; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
