DES MOINES, IA -- Miss Glenna L. Gruetzmacher, 91, of 3520 Grand Ave., Des Moines, died Sunday (June 15, 1997) at the Wesley Acres. No services are planned. The body was donated to the University of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines. Dunn's Funeral Home, 2121 Grand Ave., Des Moines, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be given to the Wesley Acres Good Samaritan Fund at Wesley Acres, 3520 Grand Ave., Des Moines, Iowa 50312 in her memory.

Glenna L. Gruetzmacher was born in Klemme, Hancock County. She lived in the Klemme area before moving to Des Moines, where she had lived since 1943. She taught music at Perkins Elementary School for 27 years in the Des Moines Public School system. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Des Moines, a graduate of Drake University and a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority. She was a member of the King's Daughters, the Des Moines Women's Club and a member of Ding Darling Women's Chapter of Izaak Walton League. She is survived by one nephew, James H. Gruetzmacher of Marshalltown. She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin B. Gruetzmacher and Elizabeth Stille Gruetzmacher; and one brother, Herald A. Gruetzmacher.
