Wayne Allen Stille, 69, Goodell, died February 19, 2005 at the Belmond Medical Center. Services were held February 23 at the Goodell United Methodist Church with Pastor Paddy Druhl officiating. Shirley Kuhlers was organist and Marilyn Janssen was vocalist. Casket bearers were Wayne DuVall, Kenton Stille, Brad Revland, Terry Zeigler, Dickie Barkema, Scott Burrs, Randy Waage, John Burrs, Lynne Stille, Kevin Burrs, Jeff Waage and Stacy Kern. Ushers were Herb Greiman and Al Pralle. Interment was at Amsterdam Cemetery near Goodell.

Wayne Allen, the son of George and Ina Berghefer Stille, was born April 18, 1935 on the family farm near Klemme. The family moved to Goodell in 1943 and then to a farm east of Goodell in 1947. Wayne attended country school #8 near Klemme. He graduated from Goodell High School in 1953 where he was a member of the baseball team and worked in the hardware store. On September 3, 1955 he married Gloria Burrs at the EUB Church in Goodell. Wayne worked for the Klemme and Garner creameries as a milk hauler, managed the chicken farm east of Goodell for four years, then hauled milk for AMPI. He worked for several farmers throughout his life. Wayne was a member of the Goodell United Methodist Church and helped with many remodeling jobs there. He served on the Goodell City Council since 1987, was a member of the city water department, and was a scout leader. He loved tractors, mainly John Deere, and enjoyed gardening, wood working and other crafts.

Preceding him in death were his father; brother-in-law Mac Dresbach; and great-nephew Andy Rasmussen. Surviving are his wife; sons Gene, Mark (Ginger), Steve "Beaver", and Tom Stille, all of Goodell; adopted daughter Lisa Laube; two grandchildren; his mother Ina of Garner; sisters Maxine Dresbach of Mason City and Sharyl (Marlin) Stadtlander of Garner; brothers Kenton Stille and friend Carol of Poolville, TX, and Lynn (Jan) Stille of Davenport; and brother-in-law John (Sue) Burrs.
