Martha C. Gunderson, 95, of Garner, Iowa died on Saturday, September 14, 2002, at the Infinia Nursing Home in Faribault, Minnesota. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, September 18, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garner, with the Rev. Robert Bronson officiating. Music will be provided by organist, Beverly Cataldo. Casket bearers will be her grandchildren. Interment will be in the Amsterdam uTownship Cemetery in Kanawha. Visitation will be held from 5-8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, at the Cataldo Funeral Home in Garner and one hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday.

Martha Christina Gunderson, the daughter of Andrew and Clara (Unvig) Brown, was born on September 1, 1907, on a farm near Kanawha. She attended the rural schools of Hancock County and did hosehold work for various families in the area. On June 14, 1931, she was married to Ernest Myron Gunderson. They lived in Northfield, Minnesota until 1973 when they moved to Garner. After her husband's death in 1976 Martha continued to live in Garner. In April of 1996, she moved to Faribault, Minnesota to be near her daughter, Betty. She enjoyed her family, embroidering, work, reading, cooking and her great-grandchildren.
