Graveside Services Will Be This Afternoon At 1:00

Jennie J. Johnson of Kanawha passed away on Oct. 2, 2006 in Bloomington, MN, at the age of 99. Jennie was born on May 28, 1907 to John and Tena Peters, near Kanawha. She received her education in Kanawha schools. She married Lawrence P. Johnson in June 1929 at her parents’ home and the moved to a farm northeast of Kanawha. In 1952 they moved to Kanawha. She was a member of the Kanawha Christian Reformed Church and was a member of the Ladies Aid Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, and her brother, John Peters, both of Kanawha. She is survived by her daughter, Lavonne (Lanny) Lolling. She leaves three grandsons – Gary, Keith (Kris) and Daryl (Amy). Also surviving are four great-granddaughters – Paige, Shelby, Megan and Taylor. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Amsterdam Township Cemetery.
