GARNER -- Funeral services for Sharon Lee Duregger, 56, of Garner, who died Friday (Sept. 29, 1995) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East in Mason city, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, 1995, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garner, with the Rev. James I. Lamb as officiant. Burial will be in the Concord Township Cemetery, Garner. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel, Garner.

Sharon Lee Duregger, the daughter of Charles Lee Hall and Hilda (nee) Shaw Hall was born Jan. 24, 1939 at Woolstock. In March of 1939, the family moved to Meservey. Sharon graduated from high school in 1957 and then worked in several restaurants in Mason City. On Nov. 26, 1960, she was married to Edward Duregger (Jr.) at Zion Lutheran Church in Clear Lake. They lived in Clear Lake until 1977, when they moved to Buffalo Center, where Sharon owned and operated the "Lamplighter" for 10 years. In 1988, they moved to Garner where they lived south of town. She was presently employed by Alco Stores in Garner. Sharon enjoyed her family, quilting, embroidering, cooking, porcelain doll-making, flower gardening and most of all, her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garner and the American Legion Auxiliary in Meservey.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Duregger, Jr. of Garner; eight children, Linda M. Davis of Clear Lake, Michael S. Duregger and his wife, Karen, of Garner, Patti A. Harold and her husband, Bob, of Payson, Ariz., Cathy S. Brown and her husband, Alan of Garner, Angela L. Van Holland and her husband, Ted, of Independence, Mo., Lori J. Steinfeldt and her husband, Jeff of Des Moines, Charles E. Duregger of East Machias, Maine, and Brenda K. Johnson and her husband, Jon, of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Connie Binder of Spencer and Nonnie Denger and her husband, Faye, of Clarion; and two brothers, Charles Hall and his wife, Liz, of Des Moines, and Jerry Hall and his wife, Jeanette, of Sheffield. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffrey Duregger; a grandson, Joshua Duregger; her parents; and a brother, Joseph Hall.
