Marson K. Nelson, 88, of Belmond, died Monday (Sept. 25, 1995) at the Belmond Community Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Amsterdam Cemetery, Kanawha. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Ewing Funeral Home, Belmond, and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Marson K. Nelson was born Sept. 14, 1907, near Kanawha. Survivors include one daughter, Deloris McVey of Alexander; one son, Duane Nelson of Encinitas, Calif.; two sisters, Margaret Brady of Iowa Falls and Valva Draper of Las Vegas, Nev.; four brothers, Robert Nelson of Belmond; Dale Nelson of Santa Barbara, Calif.; Harold Nelson of Belmond and Roger Nelson of Santa Barbara, Calif.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and several brothers and sisters.
