Maryln A. Anderson, 69, died Saturday (Sept. 23, 2000) at the Belmond Health Care Center. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Belmond, with Father David Beckman officiating. Interment will be in Amsterdam Cemetery in Goodell. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Tenold Funeral Home in Belmond, with a parish rosary at 2:30 p.m. and a scripture service at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the services at the church Wednesday.

Maryln Alberta (Dorr) Anderson was born Feb. 26, 1931, the daughter of Albert and Nellie (Fulton) Dorr. She attended and graduated from Belmond High School. She was united in marriage to Leonard Anderson on April 29, 1950, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Belmond. They made their home in Goodell. After Leonard died in 1995, she moved to the Belmond Community Apartments, and in failing health she entered the Belmond Health Care Center, where she died on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000. Maryln was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Those thankful for sharing her life are her children, Mary Ellen Mason and her husband, Wayne, of Goodell, Evelyn Nolte of Goodell, Theresa Beck and her husband, Dan, of Minden, Neb., Annette Schallert and her husband, Miles, of Denver, Colo., Duane Anderson and his wife, Deb, of Iowa City, Michael Anderson and his wife, Kathy, of New Hampton, Terry Anderson and his wife, Bonnie, of Goodell, and Tony Anderson of North Liberty; grandchildren, Walter and Christy Mason, Larinda and Timothy Mongan, Scot and Jennifer Peil, Jamie Mason, Mike Anderson, Tennille Anderson, Autumn Anderson, Tiffany Anderson, Helen Nolte, Troy Buckley, Travis Nolte, Christopher Nolte, Nicholas Smith, Duane Anderson, and Keko and Jesse Riggs; great-grandchildren, Maicie Mason, Madison Mason, Bryanna Mongan and Jacob Mongan; brothers, Donald Dorr and his wife, Mildred, of Belmond, and O'Larry Dorr and his wife, Doris, of Belmond. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard, in 1995; grandson, Josh Anderson; seven brothers; and two sisters. Tenold Funeral Home
