Obituary.
On the afternoon of Sunday the 7th inst., after an illness of a few days duration, Alonzo Denison, a young man about twenty-two years. of age, and of much promise, departed the world. His funeral took place on the following Tuesday, and the next day his father died, after a lingering illness of three months. Such a sad event it nover before has been car painful duty to chronicle.
Scarcely had the dead body of the son been consigned to the cold and silent clay, when the father expired, adding a deeper sorrow to the already grief stricken family.
True, death is the common lot of ail, and although its coming is sure, few there are (if any) but dread its approach. It is hard to give up a near and dear relative, or loved friend, to the cold embrace of death, to be borno into that other world which, to the wisest of men is all a mystery. Doath, in whatsoever form it comes, is always a dread and unwelcome visitor, but whon it stretches forth its cold and icy hand, and cuts off at a single stroke, the futher and son out of one family, then it comes in a manner that is truly appaling and which gives cause for deep reflection. In the death of Mr. Denison and his son, Wright county has lost two good cititzens, and not a beart, but those that are dead to every feeling of pity and humanity, but must deeply sympathize with the afflicted family.
