Flora Mae Specht
March 3, 1928 - December 31, 2020

Flora Mae Specht, 92, of Burlington, died Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Azria Health – Prairie Ridge Care Center in Mediapolis, IA.
Born March 3, 1928 she was the daughter of Harry and Iris Larsson. She married Wilbur K. Specht on August 11, 1944 in Wright County, IA. Together they celebrated 73 years of marriage until his death on November 16, 2017. Flora loved to cook and bake. She enjoyed playing Bridge and all kinds of games, traveling with Wilbur and getting together with friends. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and was very involved with church organizations.

She is survived by her daughter Rebecca (Bill) Mertens of Lake St. Louis, MO; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister Donna Ross of Mazeppa, MN and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Deanna Kivapil, three brothers, Harry Larsson, Gene Larsson and Craig Larsson and two sisters Bonnie Judson and Jane Soreneson.

The graveside funeral service and interment for Mrs. Specht will be 1:00 p.m. January 5th at Long Creek Cemetery, rural Danville. The Rev. Paul Hermansen will officiate. A memorial has been established for Bethany Lutheran Church.
