Scott Acker MacEachron
June 1, 1887 --- November 7, 1965

Memorial services for Scott A. MacEachron, 78, of 6 Grove Park Apts., who died Sunday in a hospital here after an apparent heart attack, will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday in the Asheville First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. A. Allen Gardner Jr. and the Rev. Leroy Secrest will officiate. The family has suggested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Children's Home, Black Mountain.

Mr. MacEachron was associated with the Portland, Ore., branch of the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank for 30 years, retiring in 1952 as vice president. He then was executive secretary of the Oregon Bankers Association until his retirement in 1960, when he moved to Asheville. He was a native of Franklin, Neb., and a graduate of Grinnell College. Grinnell, Iowa.

He was married in 1915 to the former Miss Estelle Swan of Grinnell, who survives.He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Rotary Club here. Surviving in addition to the widow, are a son, Scott MacEachron of Hoffman Estate, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Walter Boggs of Asheville and eight grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of Morris - Hendon Funeral Home.
