Clara B. Wilkins Stedman
June 30, 1880 — February 14, 1960

Mrs. T. J. O'Toole received word Monday that Mrs. James Stedman, fell Friday in Lockhart, Tex. and her left hip was broken and she is in a hospital in that city.

Mrs. Stedman has been in Lockhart for the past few years where she makes her home with her son and daughter-in-law Dr. and Mrs. James Stedman.

LOCKHART— Funeral services for Mrs. Clara B. Stedman, 79, who died Sunday in Lockhart Hospital, will be held Wednesday at Eagle Grove, Iowa. Mrs. Stedman, a resident of Lockhart three years, is survived by two sons, Dr. James W. Stedman of Lockhart, and Donald Stedman of Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Funeral services for Mrs. James Stedman, 80 [79]. will be held this (Thursday) morning at 9:30 at Sacred Heart church. Rev. Maurice Mullan will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Stedman died Sunday afternoon in a hospital in Lockhart, Texas where she had been hospitalized only a few days.

She was being cared for a broken hip, when other complications arose which caused her death.

Mrs Stedman is survived by two sons, Dr. James Stedman of Lockhart, Texas and Don Stedman of Ft. Dodge, also six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Stedman went to Lockhart about three years ago to visit her son and family during the winter, and while there her health began to fail, and since then she had made her home there. Mrs. Stedman was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LaRoy Wilkins. For many years she taught In the East side grade school and was married here to James Stedman, an engineer for the Chicago and North Western R. R. Mr. Stedman died Dec. 14th 1943.

Dr. Stedman and Don Stedman and members of their families are here for the funeral services.
