Kenneth D. Kvale, 75, Eagle Grove, Iowa, passed away Saturday, November 17, at his farm home near Eagle Grove. Kenneth was cremated by Bruce Funeral Home, Fort Dodge, Iowa. A rosary and prayer service was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, which he attended with his wife, Dorothy, Tuesday, November 20, 10:30 a.m., with a Mass and memorial service following at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Father David Beckman and Reverend Msgr. Ed Lectenberg, of Lansing, Iowa. Comforting words, Mass, and a beautiful service were said. There was no visitation or burial.

Kenneth Duane Kvale was born September 30, 1926, to Helmik and Lena (Olson) Kvale. He was raised in
the Goldfield and Eagle Grove area. He attended and was baptized and confirmed at Holmes Lutheran
Church. Kenneth began farming at the age of 14. He married Dorothy Coddington on October 4, 1946.
Together they farmed and raised livestock. Kenneth had a special love for his horses. He belonged to Saddle Clubs with his family and had a love for farmland. He attended the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Eagle Grove.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Eagle Grove; his daughter, Marcia, and husband, Brad Dach of Milford, Iowa; his son, James Kvale, and wife, Nicky of Goldfield; five grandchildren, Casey, Des Moines, Jacob, Eagle Grove, Andrea Kvale, Goldfield, Stacee Schroder, and great grandson, Tyler, of Ainsworth, Neb., and Lora Petersen of Milford, Iowa. Also surviving is his sister, Clarise Johnson and husband, Andrew, of
Wells, Minn., and his brother, Harold Kvale, and wife, Iona, of Thor, Iowa, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, and two brothers, Leslie of Goldfield, and Norman Kvale of Kanawha.
