ROY MARION MOATS

Memorial services for Roy Marion Moats, former owner operator of South Gate Shopping Center, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at South Anchorage Church of Christ.

Mr. Moats, 69, died April 23 at Providence Hospital.

Born Aug. 5, 1917, in Woolstock, Iowa, he came to Alaska as a stowaway on an Alaska-bound steamer in 1938. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and a past member of the Anchorage Lions Club.

He leaves his wife, Nancy, of Anchorage; his daughters, Kim Barnes, and Carol Jane and Beverly, all of Anchorage; his son, Victor, of Anchorage; his sisters, Alma Cameron of Anchorage, and Mabel Will of Eagle Grove, Iowa; and his brother, Delos, of Des Moines, Iowa.
