August 28, 1979 --- November 8, 2021

Deana Sudtelgte, 42, of Iowa Falls, passed away Monday, Nov. 8, 2021, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester after a valiant and long-fought battle with a brain tumor. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, at the River’s Edge Church in Iowa Falls. She will be laid to rest with a family inurnment at a later date. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, at the church. Woodley Funeral Home, LLC of Iowa Falls is caring for Deana and her family.

Deana Marie Sudtelgte was born on August 28, 1979 to Dean and Diane (Cunningham) Nelson in Clarion, Iowa. She graduated from Clarion-Goldfield high school then attended Ellsworth Community College for two years. She worked as a certified nurse aide and a teacher's aide. On April 8th, 2000 Deana was united in marriage to Jacob Sudtelgte in Goldfield, Iowa to this Union three children were born Aaron, Haley, and Ashley.

Everything that came within Deana’s reach experienced her love and kindness. That love extended from her parents, animals, and siblings to her husband, children, and extended family. She showed everyone how to love without judgment and how to be strong with few words. She turned suffering to gentleness. She was easily loved because she loved her family, friends and animals effortlessly. Deana lived the teachings of Jesus. We are profoundly blessed to have had her in our lives. May the Lord love her and keep her for all eternity.

Deana Sudtelgte is survived by her husband, Jacob Sudtelgte of Iowa Falls, Iowa; children: Aaron, Haley and Ashley of Iowa Falls, Iowa; parents, Dean and Diane Nelson of Goldfield, Iowa; brother, Patrick (and) Nelson and their children, Bridget, Zac and Elizabeth of Belmond, Iowa; sister, Laurel Nelson and her children, Heather, Patrick and Michael of Goldfield, Iowa; aunt and uncle, Sue and Darryl Cunningham and their children, Maura and Art Ortiz, Robert and Mary Cunningham and Caryl Cunningham of Borne, Texas; mother and father-in-law of Ackley, Iowa; brother and sister in-laws, Lori and Scott Kneely of Granger, Iowa, Samantha and Brady of Clive, Iowa, Rich and Tammy Sudtelgte and their children, Austin, Alex and Luke of LeMars, Iowa, Robb and Jaime Sudtelgte and their children, Jason, Jackson and Caitlin of LeMars, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Darryl and Jewell Cunningham Sr, Craig and Lorene Nelson and a nephew, Jonathan Nelson.
