Margaret J. Brazee Slaughter
2 December 1927 ---- 26 April 1982

Margaret J. Slaughter, 54, of Riverside, Iowa died at her home this morning after a lengthy illness. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's of the Assumption Church in Riverside with the Rev. Thomas Mohr officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa City. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sorden Funeral Chapel in Riverside with rosaries recited at 3 and 8 p.m.

Mrs. Slaughter was born Dec. 2, 1927, at Strawberry Point, a daughter of George and Mary Brazee. She married Everett Slaughter Sr., Nov. 27, 1947, at Eagle Grove. She was employed as a clerk at the University of Iowa and a member of St. Mary's Church in Riverside.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Everett Jr. and Duane both of Riverside; her mother of Riverside; two grandchildren; a brother, Raymond Brazee of Tucson, Ariz.; and three sisters, Shirley Mennig of Chicago, Sharon Weiss of DeSota, Iowa, and Marilyn Flogstad of Bennington, Neb.
