This community was very much saddened last Friday afternoon when the news of the sudden death of Mrs. Fritz Clausen was telephoned to town. Mrs. Clausen had given birth to a baby boy Wednesday and was apparently doing nicely. A sudden change was noticed Friday forenoon and all that could be done for her was done but she passed into the Great Beyond about 4:30 that afternoon.

The funeral services were held in the Methodist church on 'account of the Norwegian Lutheran, church being rebuilt at this time. Rev. Svode, the Lutheran pastor from Thor conducted the services assisted by Rev. DeWitt, pastor of the Methodist church.

The church was beautifully decorated with flowers and was filled to overflowing with sympathizing friends and relatives. The body was laid to rest in Glenwood cemetery.
