Walter F. Willie Succumbs Friday; Rites Tuesday;

Walter Frank Willie, 66, died Friday at St John’s Hospital, Huron after an illness of two years. A resident of Spink County from 1904 to 1933 he then lived in Iowa and Illinois until 1958 when he returned to Spink county. He made his home with his daughter Lois, Mrs. Stanley Filipek, Frankfort.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 8:30 AM at Saint Ann's Catholic Church, Frankfort with Fr. Noel Power officiating. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Frankfort. Rosary will be said Monday at 8:00 PM at the Bryson Funeral Home in Redfield.

Walter F. Willie was born May 21, 1893 at Marengo, Iowa, He married Ethel Stambach at Frankfort, June 15, 1916 and she died Nov. 19, 1918. He married Katherine Meyer in 1919.

Survivors include two daughters, Lois, Mrs. Filipek, Frankfort; Frances, Mrs. Richard Trout, Louisiana; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Virginia Schulte, Mankato, Minn.; five sons, Dennis, Hackensack, N.J.; Bernard and Marvin, Eagle Grove, Iowa; Eldon, Sumner, Wash, and Robert, Webster; 15 grandchildren; one brother, Leo, Frankfort; He was preceded in death by his wife, one brother and one stepbrother.

Ben and Marvin Willie were called to Frankfort, S. D. by the death of their father Walter. Willie, Lt. and Mrs. Robert Trout (Frances Willie) came from Shreveport, La. to attend the funeral, also Eldon Willie of Sumner, Wash, and Dennis Willie of Hackensack, N. J.
