Jackie Leslie Fowler, 63, of the 1500 block of East 29th Street died of a heart ailment Monday at home. Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Hamilton's Funeral Chapel, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion. Mr. Fowler was born in Osceola and had lived in Eugene, Ore., before moving to Des Moines 40 years ago. He had worked for PDM, Dico, Campbells and Signs of Distinction. He was an Air Force veteran and a member of Machinist Union and Iron Workers Union.

He is survived by his wife, Karan; a daughter, Wendy Fowler of Des Moines, two sons, Tom Bullington and Tim, both of Des Moines; two sisters, Donna Hanner of Des Moines and Barbara Youmans of Urbandale; and two grandchildren. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
