Kristina A. Robbins, 38, Belmond, died June 3, 2021 at the Iowa Specialty Hospital - Belmond surrounded by her family. No service is scheduled at this time. A scholarship fund has been established for her 12-year-old son Trevor Henry at First State Bank, P.O. Box 39, Belmond.

Kristina Anne, daughter of Kenneth Lee and Debra “Rene” (Bryant) Robbins, was born Dec. 26, 1982 at Mason City. She grew up in Belmond and graduated from high school in 2001. She continued her education at cosmetology college in Mason City and Iowa City. In high school Kristina played volleyball, softball and ran on the cross country team. She looked forward to family getaways to Louisiana to visit family, journeying through the Ozarks along the way. Another special family vacation was to Niagara Falls.

Kristina worked as a beautician, waitress, and at Farm and Home Publishing. One of her favorite positions was in food service at the Rehabilitation Center of Belmond.

Kristina enjoyed family gatherings, hanging with friends and spending time with her son Trevor Henry, who she truly adored. In 2013, Kristina met her fiancé Josh Stadtlander, and the couple looked forward to many life journeys as a couple and raising Trevor. The three of them enjoyed attending Iowa Hawkeyes games and other activities. She shared a mutual love of the Kansas City Chiefs with her parents and siblings.

In 2018, Kristina faced the first of many health challenges she would battle until her passing. Her parents, Josh, and her siblings were always in her corner praying for and supporting her. In early May 2021 she became ill and spent several weeks at University of Iowa Hospital before returning to Belmond to be surrounded by her family’s boundless love and support until her new life began, free of health issues.

Her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of her parents Kenneth and Rene Robbins; son Trevor Henry; fiancé Josh Stadtlander; brother Anthony Robbins, all of Belmond; brother Matthew (Kellie) Robbins and their children Macie, Khloe and Stella of Polk City; and sister Natalie (Adam) Petersen and their daughter Charlotte of Webster City.
