J. F. Kershner was at Goldfield Friday to attend the funeral of his mother, who died Wednesday at her home in Dows. Mrs. Kershner had been in poor health for the past two years, her last illness being of a dropsical nature. The deceased is spoken of as a very good woman and has many friends at both Dows and Goldfield, having resided in the latter place for many years before moving to Dows.

Died, on Tuesday, at Dows Mrs. Delila Kershner, a former resident here, and affectionately called “Grandma Kershner."

Funeral services at M. E. church conducted by Rev. Artman on Thursday afternoon. Interment in cemetery here. A large number of relatives and friends present.

Her three daughters were with her several days before her death, Mrs. Blewett, of Eugene, Ore., Mrs. McIntyre, of Ocheyedan, and Mrs. Riley, of Fairmont, Minn. Her sons and grandchildren were also kind and attentive. Mrs. Kershner had a host of friends here who mourn her death. A good mother, a kind friend, has passed to her reward. She had been a widow for several years and lived with her single sons, making a home for them. –Goldfield

Mrs. Kershner who had been very poorly for the past month passed away Wednesday afternoon. She was 82 years old and leaves a family of nine children to mourn her loss six of whom were by her bedside when the end came, the remains were taken to Goldfield for burial Friday noon. –Vernon
