Dean Edwin Wilson
January 29, 1929 ---- July 1, 2021

Dean E. Wilson -- The first of four, born to Willard and Thelma Wilson. He grew up on the family farm in Clarion, Iowa with brothers, Darrell and Merle and sister, Velva May. They moved to Northern Minnesota, in 1949 where the family established and ran the first resort on beautiful Woman Lake. After serving in the US Army, Dean started his career with National School Studios.

In 1956 he married his wife, Vyonne. Together they raised their son, Steve and daughters, Renee and Noreen while living in Minneapolis and later moving to Hopkins, Minnesota. Dean always enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and the great outdoors. He took special pride in his tomatoes, and loved involving his girls in the process. After 47 years Dean retired from Lifetouch. His retirement afforded him more time to share stories and wisdom from his life with his grandchildren, Andrew, Jeremy (Alexandra), Kali (Corey), Sonya and great granddaughter, Cambrie. Cambrie brought so much joy to his last few years. Dean will be greatly missed by so many. His legacy will live on through stories remembered and told again by all who loved and appreciated him so very much throughout the years. A private burial will take place at a later date.
