Lionel L. Johnston, 26, died suddenly at his home, 901 5th Ave. N., Fort Dodge, Thursday evening as the result of a coronary attack.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Gunderson-Sellergren Funeral Home in Fort Dodge with Dr. Wayne E. Shoemaker pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove.

Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Jacquelin Jo, his parents, Mrs. Emma Johnston, Eagle Grove, and Thomas Johnston, Chicago, Ill. One grandparent, Noah Thorn, Eagle Grove survives, as do two brothers and a sister: Thomas of Newman, Calif.; Robert and Mrs. Scott Weland, both of Eagle Grove.

Mr. Johnston was born in Eagle Grove and received his elementary education in the local schools here. He attended Eagle Grove Junior College.

He was married to the former Pearl Ann Foughty in Fort Dodge in 1961. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove for about two years after their marriage, moving to Fort Dodge, in 1963 when Mr. Johnston was named district manager of Financial Programs, Inc. He recently received the distinction of being the youngest man ever named to the President's Club of Financial Programs, Inc. of Denver, Colo.
