17 December 1908 --- 5 February 1970Glenn E. Thompson, 61, died February 5 at the Rotary Ann Home. Funeral services were held Saturday morning at the Samuel Lutheran Church, in charge of the pastor Rev. Marvin L. Dooley. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson, son of Mrs. Mable Parker of Eagle Grove, was born [17 December 1908] in Humboldt township and attended school there. He was employed as a stock buyer and trucker. In addition to his mother, he is survived by nine daughters: Mrs. Betty Kirkbride and Mrs. Gleneth Kirkbride, both of Glendora, Calif.; Mrs. Charles Burke, Mrs. Tom Winters, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Nate Lucille Brennan, all of Fort Dodge; Mrs. Dick Saathoff, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Nate Luthro, Rinard; and Mrs. Frank Machado, Augusta, Ga.; a son, John Thompson, Cove City, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; three brothers: Tolford Thompson, Houston, Tex.; Alvin, Eagle Grove; and Kenneth of Thor.
