DEAD. – Word was received here Monday or the death of C. V. Brown, of Boone township, the day previous, it was known that Mr. B. had sick for the past couple of months but very few people had any idea that his condition was so critical. We are told that his illness was due to a complication of kidney and liver troubles, ending in quick consumption. Mr. Brown was a quiet, unobtrusive man; a good citizen, kind husband and indulgent father, and now that he is gone, he will be greatly missed in that portion of the county — for Charley was always ready to lend a helping hand to the needy or in carrying out any measure that would benefit the locality in which he lived. Peace to his ashes.
