Hilda Tuttle, 84, of 112 13th Ave. N.W., Altoona, died Tuesday at Des Moines General Hospital. She had suffered from a heart ailment. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Eyler-Willim Funeral Home in Clarion. Burial will be in Holmes Lutheran Cemetery near Holmes.

Mrs. Tuttle was born on a farm near Clarion. She was a homemaker and a former member of Hauge Lutheran Church in Goldfield.

Survivors include a son, Howard of Altoona; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Funeral services were held from the Chapel of the Eyler-Willim Funeral Home in Clarion on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m., for Hilda Tuttle, 84, who died at the Des Moines General Hospital Tuesday evening, May 26. Rev. Charles Johnson from the Hauge Lutheran Church of Goldfield officiated and burial followed in the Holmes Lutheran Cemetery.

Casket bearers were: Avron Gaulke, Archie Nodland, Scott Rounds, Lyle Stromquist, James Tuttle, and Norman Watne. Music was provided by Mrs. Aden Hansen, the organist, and Mrs. Charles Johnson was the soloist. Music selected for the service was "I Want To See My Savior", and "Amazing Grace".

Hilda was born six miles west of Clarion on December 9, 1902 and was the daughter of Jacob and Serena Peterson. She was raised and educated in Liberty Township where she remained until retiring to Clarion in 1962, and for the last 9 years has lived with her son, Howard, in Altoona, Ia.

Survivors include one son, Howard, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents, six brothers, one sister and one son.
