Arnold Gerhard Anderson
30 June 1928 --- 25 May 1967

Arnold G. Anderson, 38, died Thursday, May 25th, at Veterans hospital, Des Moines where he had been a patient for the past months. He had been ill for some time and was previously hospitalized.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 27th, at the Samuel Lutheran church with Pastor Marvin Dooley officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George T. Anderson, one brother, Paul Anderson of Eagle Grove, and three sisters, Mrs. Ervin Ruka, River Falls, Minn.; Mrs. Eldo Nichols, Clarion, and Mrs. Larry Moyer, Arlington, Va.

Obituary

Arnold Gerhard Anderson was born June 30, 1928 at Belmond, Iowa. He was the son of George T. and Antonia Hovland Anderson. He attended school at Belmond and in 1939 moved to Eagle Grove where he attended the Eagle Grove schools. He was confirmed May 21, 1944 at Samuel Lutheran church.

In 1951 he entered the United States Army and served as a combat infantryman in the Korean War. He was discharged from service in 1953.

He then was employed at the Boone Valley Coop Processing Ass'n. for 12 years until his illness, which forced him to quit working.

In May 1957, he was united in marriage to Donna Davis of Ellsworth at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. She survives as do his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George T. Anderson and one brother, Paul Anderson, Eagle Grove; 3 sisters, Norma (Mrs. Ervin Ruka) River Falls, Wisconsin; Josephine (Mrs. Eldo Nichols) Clarion; Lucille (Mrs. Larry Moyer) Arlington, Va.

He died May 25 at Veterans hospital, Des Moines.

Funeral services were held May 27 at the Samuel Lutheran church with Pastor Marvin L. Dooley officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove with Military Services at the graveside.
