Lorna Jeanne (May) Keeling
October 23, 1950 --- September 28, 2018

Lorna Jeanne Keeling, 67, passed away from a cardiac arrest on September 28, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Lorna was born October 23, 1950, in Algona, Iowa to David and Marilyn (Ek) May. She received a 2-year degree in business accounting.

Lorna worked as a bank manager and created her own balloon business. She enjoyed the past three summers working at Prairie Meadows Race Track. She also used her social skills as a demonstrator at HyVee, as well as being a crossing guard for the Des Moines schools. Lorna had many hobbies that included “bargain shopping”, crafts, and decorating. She especially enjoyed extensive traveling with her daughter throughout the United States. She lived life “colorful” and large and never met a stranger. She was an exceptional volunteer, especially for those less fortunate.

Survivors include her husband, Randy, of Clarion; son, Frank (Connie) Williams of Urbandale, and daughter, Barbara, of Denver; grandchildren, Ava and Frankie Williams; sister, Susan (Dick) Bloedorn of Florida; brothers, Ken (Alice) May of Texas, and Paul (Janice) May of Ankeny, along with several nieces and nephews and her beloved bulldogs.
