Olaf Albert Anderson
31 December 1904 --- 14 April 1977Olaf Anderson, the son of Ole and Gertie Wagner Anderson, was born December 1904 in Wright County, Iowa. He attended the country school.
On February 14, 1931 he married Izetta Fletcher of Rowan at Fort Dodge. They made their home on a farm northeast of Eagle Grove. They moved to town in 1970. He was active in farm management after his retirement.
Olaf died Thursday, April 14th, at the Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge at the age of 72 years, 3 months, and 13 days.
Survivors include his wife, one son, Richard Anderson, Clear Lake; one daughter, Ruby Jayne (Mrs. Dale Smith) Eagle Grove; one brother, Andrew G. Anderson, Eagle Grove; one sister, Gladys (Mrs. Sherman Ekeland) Belmond; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church where he served as a deacon of the church board.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 16, at 1 p.m. at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rev. Marvin A. Berkeland officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
