Amos Richard Amosson
26 February 1927 --- 22 May 1992

Amos Richard Amosson was born February 26, 1927 in Goldfield, where he was raised and educated. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II in Europe. He married Betty Sorensen in 1950 and the couple lived near Eagle Grove. In 1961 they moved to rural Hardy where he farmed. He was a member of the American Legion.

Amos Richard Amosson, 65, Hardy, died Friday morning, May 22, 1992, at the Hamilton County Hospital, Webster City. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; and five brothers He is survived by his wife; sons, Michael, Centerville; Nick, Humboldt; daughter, Lisa Amosson, Mason City, one grandchild; sister, Rosella Andersen, Colorado Springs, Colo.; brothers, Glen, Clear Lake, and Orville, Ottumwa.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at Trinity Lutheran Church near Hardy. The Rev. Herbert Schiller officiated.
