Robert Lee Hanus

Robert Lee Hanus, son of August and Ethel (Johnson) Hanus, was born April 20, 1939, in Eagle Grove. He was educated in Woolstock. He married Genese Heslop on April 8, 1961, and the couple resided in Webster City. He worked for many years as a carpenter at Husinga-Peterson Construction of Webster City. He also operated a city cab for two years.

Robert Lee Hanus, 51, Webster City, died Monday evening, July 30, 1990, at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines. He had been in failing health since 1981. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by his wife; a son, Robert Jr., Webster City; three daughters, Mrs. Mitchell (Roberta) Behrendt, Westminster, Colo.; Mrs. Mike (Rebecca) Tudor and Ria Hanus, both of Webster City; five grandchildren; five brothers, Donald, Eagle Grove; Dean and Melvin, Webster City; Gary Hanus, Riley, Kan.; and Harold, Fort Dodge.

Funeral services were held Friday, August 3, at 1:30 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wayne Droessler officiating. Burial was in the Graceland Cemetery.
