William Albert Palsdofer
26 December 1892 --- 27 May 1970

William Albert Palsdofer was born December 26, 1893, at Garnavillo, Iowa to Henry and Anna Engel Palsdofer. He was baptized into the triune faith on March 1, 1894, at Clayton City, Iowa. He renewed his baptismal covenant through the rite of confirmation on April 17, 1924 at the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church. He died at Bethesda General Hospital, Fort Dodge, on May 27, 1970 after reaching the age of 76 years, 5 months, and 1 day.

He attended school in Garnavillo, Iowa - Army Co. H 147th Engineers WWI. After his marriage to Agnes Marie Stenseth they lived in Des Moines until 1919 when they came to Eagle Grove, where Mr. Palsdofer was employed by the Chicago North Western Railroad, as conductor.

He was preceded in death by his wife and his sister, Charlotte. Those who mourn his departure are a daughter (Almira), Mrs. Walter Isaacson of Hillsboro, Oregon; and a son William Vernon of Cedar Rapids, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; three brothers: Art of Rockwell; Clarence of Mason City; Harvey of Swaledale; two sisters: Mrs. Bernice Wonsmos, Mason City; Mrs. Lucile Lindsay, Mason City.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 30, at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pastor H. W. Schiller. Internment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
