Goldfield Chronicle

Mrs. W. J. Braden, 82, of Green Bay, Wis., died Monday evening in that city.

Funeral services will be held at the Kastler Funeral Home in Eagle Grove at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7. Rev. T. M. Walton, pastor of the First Christian Church in Goldfield will officiate.

Surviving children are James Braden of Chicago, B. W. Braden of Waterloo, Mrs. Dudley Atherton of Green Bay and Mrs. W. G. Mengelberg of Santa Barbara, Calif.

Mrs. Braden was preceded in death by her husband, one son and one daughter.

The Goldfield Chronicle

Allie Beatrice Yarnell was born in Walker, Iowa June 1880, to parents David and Rebekah Yarnell, and died Sept. 3, 1962 in Green Bay, Wis.

When Allie was two years of age the family moved to Clarion. She graduated from the Clarion high school and Sept. 13, 1901 was married to William Braden in Clarion. They immediately went to Goldfield to make their home. Four girls and two boys were born to this union. Mr. Braden died in 1960.

Mrs. Braden is survived by two daughters, Mrs. O. D. Atherton of Green Bay, Wis., Mrs. W. R. Mengelberg of Santa Barbara, Calif., two sons, James Braden of Chicago and B. W. Braden of Waterloo, also seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two daughters, Louise and a daughter who died in infancy, two sisters and one brother.

She was a member of the Christian Church of Goldfield.

Funeral services were held Sept. 7 at the Kastler Funeral Home in Eagle Grove and burial was in Glenwood Cemetery. Rev. T. M. Walton, pastor of the First Christian Church in Goldfield officiated.

Out-of-town relatives present for the services were: Mr. and Mrs. O. D. Atherton, Green Bay, Wis., B. W. Braden and son of Waterloo, Mrs. Ralph Stuart, Hampton, Mrs. Margaret Stark, Webster City and Tom Stark of Clarion.
