Joseph Patrick Maier, son of Jerome and Susan Maier of Eagle Grove, was stillborn October 25, 1994, in the maternity ward at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Survivors include his parents, Jerry and Sue Maier of Eagle Grove; his brother Brandon Maier of Eagle Grove; grandparents, Harold and Jane Heykes, Emmetsburg, and Bernard and Vernice Maier, Rockvale, Tennessee.

Private family graveside services were held on Saturday, October 29, 1994, at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. The Reverend Maynard Moen officiated at the 11 a.m. services. Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
