Lydia Mae Franks Johnson
4 April 1878 ---- 25 April 1959

Lydia Mae Johnson was born April 4, 1878 at Montour, Tama County, Iowa to William and Hannah Hart Franks. She attended the Montour schools and resided there until 1900 when she moved to Tama. There she was united in marriage to Wilmer Johnson of Eagle Grove on Sept. 23, 1903. Thereafter, they established residence in Eagle Grove where Mr. Johnson was employed by the Chicago & North Western Railroad. They became the parents of two sons, the first dying in infancy.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of the G. I. A. and the L. A. to B of L. F. & E., a member of the Methodist Church and Class 18, a charter member of the W.S.C S. and the Order of Eastern Star.

On April 25 Mrs. Johnson passed away after a brief illness at the Golden Age Nursing Home in St. Paul, Minn. She is survived by her son, Robert W. Johnson of St. Paul, a granddaughter, Mrs. Russell H. Kunert of Willernie, Minn., and three great grandchildren, and a brother, C. R. Franks of Harlowton, Montana. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband who passed away in 1949.
