Frank Edward Hossman
25 July 1899 ---- 2 June 1978

Frank Edward Hossman, son of Christ and Elizabeth Nichtern Hossman, was born July 25, 1899, at Eagle Grove, Iowa. He attended a country school near his home. He married Aimee Sterling of Algona on October 24, 1924, at the Fort Dodge Methodist Church parsonage. She died in April, 1941. On January 5, 1944 he married Anna Lemke Bertran of Savannah, Mo. at Troy, Kans. Following their marriage, they made their home on a farm near Eagle Grove. In 1960 he retired and they moved to Eagle Grove where he worked for Farmland Industries.

Frank died Friday, June 2, 1978, at his home on S. W. 4th, at the age of 78. Survivors include: his wife, Anna; one son, Francis Hossman of Eagle Grove; two step-sons, Charles Bertran of Webster City and Bill Bertran of Niceville, Fla.; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Roy Hossman; one sister, May Wilcox; and one step-son, Earl Saucer.

Frank was a member of the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove. Funeral services were held Monday, June 5,1978 at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Eagle Grove. Rev. Donald Callen officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
