David Orin Strain
21 April 1877 ---- 9 August 1947

David Oren Strain, son of David P. and Eliza J. Strain was born April 21, 1877 and died August 9, 1947 at the age of 70 years, 3 months, and 20 days. He was born in Troy township, Wright county, and spent most of his life in that vicinity. His parents were early settlers in that county. On September 30, 1903 he married Ada Mae Lee of Woolstock. They moved to Eagle Grove where he worked for the Middleton Music House for several years. To this union was born three children, Lee, Kenneth and Muriel.

In 1942 he suffered a stroke which left him an invalid. He was cared for by his devoted wife who gave of her untiring strength to give him comfort.

He is survived by his wife, his three children, Lee of Chicago, Kenneth of Fort Dodge, Mrs. C. Earl Stoefer (Muriel) of Fort Dodge; four grandchildren, two brothers, Frank Strain of Webster City, Jess Strain of Eagle Grove.
