George Thorson
22 June 1867 ---- 14 April 1951

George Thorson, 83, died at his home on North Lincoln Ave., Saturday morning, following a serious illness of two months. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Samuel Lutheran church, in charge of Rev. B. F. Molstre. Pallbearers were George Brown, Art Alexander, Herbert Korslund, Ed Kallem, Martin Anderson, and Edwin Korslund. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mr. Thorson is survived by his wife, five daughters and five sons: Mrs. B. E. Thompson of Norn Springs; Mrs. S. K. Berg, Minneapolis; Mrs. Dean Keller, Billings, Mont.; Mrs. C. O. Berg, Minneapolis; Mrs. H. F. Pontious, Manson; and Clarence, Butler, S. D.; Alvin, Thor; Ernest, Eagle Grove; Kenneth, Omaha, Neb.; and Milton of Council Bluffs. He also had two sisters who are residing in Norway.

The Thorson family formerly lived near Thor where Mr. Thorson farmed for many years. They retired to their home in Thor in 1935 and in 1945 the family moved to Eagle Grove.
