Nancy Sophie Hansen Braumann
25 November 1893 ---- 12 March 1952

Nancy Sophie Hansen, daughter of Hans and Caroline Christensen Hansen, was born in Troy township, Wright County, Iowa on November 25, 1893 and passed away at the Lutheran hospital, Fort Dodge, Iowa on March 12, 1952, having reached the age of 58 years, 3 months, and 17 days.

She was baptized as a child in the Lutheran faith. Her early life was spent on the farm in Troy township, and she attended the Troy No. 5 school. Later she was employed at the telephone office and worked there until her marriage.

On November 24, 1920 at Eagle Grove, Iowa she was united in marriage to Floyd E. Braumann and to this union six children were born. The family made their home on a farm near Thor for 9 years, then they moved to Goldfield where they lived for 6 years. In 1935 they moved to Eagle Grove where they have lived until the time of her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Herschel and one daughter, June. Also, one sister, Mrs. Agnes Nelson of Clear Lake, Iowa.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Floyd, and one son, Evron L. Brauman of Spencer, Iowa, also three daughters, Eleanor, Mrs. Robert J. Rogers of Hampton, Iowa, Florine, Mrs. Robert Thorn of Eagle Grove, Iowa, and Maybelle, Mrs. Robert Tilghman of Eagle prove, Iowa. Four brothers, Chris Hansen of Davenport, Iowa, and Axel, Edmund, and Clarence, all of Minneapolis, Minn. Five sisters, Mrs. Holger Christenson of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Charles Long, Mrs. Adel Stryker, Mrs. Gertie Jorgensen, Mrs. Hannah Sorenson, all of Eagle Grove. Many other relatives and a host of friends.

Mrs. Braumann was a loving and kind wife and mother. She devoted her time to her home and family. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Services were held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Methodist church, Eagle Grove, Iowa, with the Rev. Harrison G. Dawes, officiating. Interment was held on the family lot in Rose Hill cemetery, Eagle Grove, Iowa.
