Willard James Meade, son of Harry and Julia Meade, was born July 5, 1908 at Omaha, Neb., and died Friday evening, October 7. He was 41 years, 3 months and 2 days at the time of his passing.

He moved with his parents from Omaha to Eagle Grove at the age of 2 months. Here he grew to manhood, graduating from high school in 1927. While in school Willard was very active in sports, playing football 2 years and wrestling also for 2 years.

He was baptised in water in the year 1927, at the Church of God in Eagle Grove. A few years later he moved to California because of ill health, where he resided for the past 15 years. During July of this year, Willard attended a Youth for Christ service in Los Angeles, Calif., with relatives who were visiting him. It was in this service that Willard renewed his consecration at an altar of prayer. Failing in health, Willard came back to his home in Eagle Grove just a few short days ago.
