John H. Reeh, Jr.
12 May 1862 ---- 20 October 1899

Dows - After a lingering sickness of more than ten weeks of typhoid fever, John Reeh died at his home in Dows, Friday. Funeral services were at the M.E. Church. The funeral was in charge of the M.W.A. Camp of Dows, who had charge of the remains from the time it left the house until it was laid to rest.

Mr. Reeh was the only son of John and Louisa Reeh, pioneer settlers on the banks of the Iowa River, about five miles south of town where he grew to manhood. He was born in Green County, Wisconsin May 12, 1862 and moved with his parents to Iowa in 1864. He was married to Miss Bertha Fisher October 6, 1888 and died in Dows October 20, 1899, aged 37 years, 5 months and 8 days.

He leaves his aged parents, two sisters, a wife and two children to mourn his loss.
