Former Holmes Man Electrocuted

Olaf Worra Is Accidently Killed At His Work At Alexandria, S. Dak.

Word was received in Clarion Thursday of the death of Olaf Worra at Alexandria, S. D., death being due to a shock received that morning while making repairs at the electric light plant of that place of which he was manager. He was exceptionally competent in his work and made every effort to please the public. He was an exemplary father and husband and well liked as a neighbor and friend. He stood high in the estimation of the people. He held the office ot noble grand of the Odd Fellows lodge at Alexandria his term having expired the day following his death. The South Dakota lodge wired Secretary Henry of the Clarion lodge of Mr. Worra's death and several members attended the funeral at Holmes Monday afternoon.

Olaf Z. Worra was born at Pontiac, Ill., August 3, 1881, being 43 years, 10 months and 29 days of age at the time of death. When a lad his parents Mr. and Mrs. Hellick Worra moved to Holmes. In spring of 1901 he took up engineering and electrical work at Madison, Minn. Five years later he was united in marriage to Miss Louise Aurdal at Echo, Minn. To this union were born six children, the eldest, Myrtle died at Holmes in July, 1909.

Mr. Worra leaves to mourn his death a faithful wife and five children, Myrtle, Lucille, Algona, Olaf and Harlen, also two brothers and six sisters, Amos of Holmes, Lars of Britten, S. D., Mrs. Sam Johnson, Mrs. Peter Johnson and Miss Esther of Clarion, Mrs. Bert Johnson of Gorham, N. D., and Miss Lydia of Phoenix, Ariz.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Lutheran church at Holmes and were largely attended. Rev. Spande was in charge, with burial in the Holmes cemetery.
