November 19, 1931 ---- March 5, 1980

Robert Graham Jacobson, age 48, passed away suddenly Wednesday, March 5, 1980 at his home in Eagle Grove, Iowa after suffering a heart attack.

Robert Graham Archer was born November 19, 1931 at Oelwein, the son of Robert and Hazel Robertson Archer. When Bob was 9 years old, his father passed away. His mother later remarried and he was adopted by his step-father, Leslie Jacobson.
Bob started school at West Union and graduated from Waterville High School in Waterville, Ia. He attended college at Upper Iowa, Fayette. Following college, Bob served in the U. S. Navy from May of 1951 to April of 1955.

On November 4, 1956, Bob was united in marriage to Marion Jean McCoy of Des Moines, in Des Moines. This union was blessed with the births of three sons. The family lived in Charles City and also Mason City until moving to Eagle Grove in 1960. He first worked as a manager at Northwestern Bell Telephone in Eagle Grove. Later positions included sales manager at M & M Livestock Products, Eagle Grove, and then at Dr. MacDonalds Feed Products, Fort Dodge. At the time of his death, Bob was sales manager of Hagie Manufacturing, Clarion.

Bob was a member of the United Methodist Church, Eagle Grove, Rotary Club; Lions Club; Jaycees; and also of the Masonic Order. He was a past president of the Eagle Grove Country Club and also the Eagle Grove Booster Club.

Mr. Jacobson is survived by his wife, Marion; three sons: Bruce of Ames, Mark of Cedar Falls and Scott of Eagle Grove; his mother, Hazel Jacobson of Waterville; two sisters: Vickie (Mrs. Thomas) Moe of ; Cedar Falls, Kathy (Mrs. Steven) Weidner of Waukon. He was preceded in death by his father and his step-father.

Funeral services were held day, March 8, 1980 at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Eagle Grove. Rev. Donald Callen officiated and burial was at Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
