Stella Carrie Nelson Pohlman
9 March 1888 ----- 2 February 1980

Mrs. Stella Carrie Pohlman, 91, died Saturday, February 2, 1980 in Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge. Mrs. Pohlman had been a patient there for one week.

Stella was born March 9, 1988 in Eagle Grove to Erick [Ulrick] and Jennie Gordon Nelson. She attended school in Eagle Grove also. Stella was united in marriage to Clarence Pohlman of Eagle Grove in 1910. They first made their home in Eagle Grove and later moved to Mason City for four years and then moved back to Eagle Grove. This marriage was blessed with three children, one daughter and two sons. Mr. Pohlman died in 1935.

Stella had been a resident of the Rotary Ann Nursing Home, for the past five years. Previous to this, she lived for eight months at the North Care Center in Humboldt.

Survivors are one son, Neut Pohlman of Lowell, Ark., a daughter, Mrs. John (Lucille) Miller of Eagle Grove; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Pohlman was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and an infant son, Harry Virgil. Also a grandson, Larry Dean Mosher.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 6 at 2 p.m. at the Samuel Lutheran Church. Interment in Rose Hill Cemetery. Rev. P. L. Mork officiated.
