Richard Anderson, 83, of Fort Dodge, Iowa died December 2, 2020 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 12, followed by the funeral at 1:00 p.m. at Gunderson Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow, 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion.

Richard is survived by his children Bill (Audrey) Doolittle, Wichita, KS; Elizabeth (Russell) Baker, Des Moines; Michael (Amy) Anderson, Springfield, MO; Kimberly Anderson, Fort Dodge; Deloros Meinders, Goldfield; 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; his companion Pam McCracken. Richard was preceded in death by his wife Arlene in 2009, his parents George and Anita (Legge) Anderson and his brother Vernon Anderson.

Richard Charles Anderson was born on July 27, 1937 and grew up in Clarion. After graduating high school he served as military police in the National Guard. Richard married Arlene Doolittle in 1963. He was employed and retired as the head custodian for Fort Dodge Public Schools. He loved time spent with his family, going to car shows and was proud of his collection of classic cars. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
