Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Dillard. 62, a former Eagle Grove resident, will be held here this afternoon (Thursday) at 2 o’clock at the Kastler Funeral Home. Rev. Donald Forbes will be in charge and burial will be at Fairview Cemetery at Dows.

Mrs. Dillard died unexpectedly July 6th at the home of her sister in Lakeland, Fla. where she had resided for the past two years. She is survived by a brother, Harvey Iehl, and two sisters, Mrs. Maude Lawrence, Lakeland, Fla and Mrs. Anna Forseth of Glenville, Minn.

Mrs. Dillard and her late husband, Irvin Dillard, operated the Eagle Cleaners here for many years, and after Mr. Dillard's death she moved from Eagle Grove.

Hazel Gale [Gail] Iehl was born on December 21, 1906, at Dows, Iowa the daughter of John William and Nora Irene Peyton Iehl.

She attended school in Dows.

On December 17, 1927, she was united in marriage to Harry Brant. Mr. Brant passed away in 1940.

She was united in marriage to Ervin Dillard on July 4, 1943 and the couple moved to Eagle Grove where they operated the Eagle Grove Cleaners from 1945 until Mr. Dillard's death in 1956.

She continued to live in Eagle Grove for a number of years before moving to Florida.

Mrs. Dillard died on July 6, at the age of 62 years, 6 months and 15 days. Her death was unexpected and came as a shock to her family.

She is survived by a brother, Harry Iehl of Luck, Wis. and two sisters, Mrs. Maude Lawrence of Lakeland, Fla. and Mrs. Anna Forseth of Glenville, Minn.

Mrs. Lawrence and her son Floyd, came from Florida to the funeral services. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters (Mae Bobst and Zelpha Johnson) and one brother, W. C. Iehl.

Mrs. Dillard was a member of the Methodist Church. Funeral services were held on Thursday July 10 at 2 p. m. at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Forbes of the United Methodist Church of Eagle Grove officiating.

Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery at Dows.
