In 1912, she came to America, and on the 27th of February 1915, she was united in marriage to Johannes Halverson at Sioux City, Ia. In 1916, Mr. and Mrs. Halverson came to Eagle Grove, which has since been their home, and where Mr. Halverson was employed by the C. & N. W. railroad. Mr. Halverson died April 8, 1941. Through it all, though she tried to be patient, she was a kind wife and mother, and tried to find comfort and guidance in the word of God. This held her up during the years of sickness. She was a member of the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church.
