Gustave Severine Gunderson
7 August 1887 ---- 11 December 1963

G. S. Gunderson, 76, died Wednesday night, Dec. 11 following a short illness in Lutheran hospital, Fort Dodge. He had pneumonia and was taken to the hospital the previous Sunday night.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the Evangelical Lutheran church in charge of Pastor Kenneth R. Torvik. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mr. Gunderson was a lifelong resident of Eagle Grove having been born here in 1887. He was employed by the Chicago and Great Western railroad for 43 years and retired as passenger conductor in 1949.

He is survived by two sons, Pershing of Eagle Grove, Gordon of Anniston, Ala., and one daughter Miss Maxine Gunderson of Eagle Grove and Fort Dodge. He is also survived by six grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Mabel Marrett of Alliance, Neb., and three brothers, Lawrence of Eagle Grove, Carroll of Grants, New Mex., and Leonard of Amarillo, Tex.

C.; Thos. Midland and family of Edinburg, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Millee of Cedar Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Kauffman of Des Moines.
