Dows - Charles A. Rosvall passed away at his home Wednesday morning, April 12, 1944. Funeral services were held Friday at the First Lutheran church. Burial was made at the Fairview Cemetery.

Charles August Rosvall was born in Smaland, Sweden on August 30, 1855. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. In 1881 he was married to Hilda Augusta Johnson and to this union three children were born. In 1891 the family migrated to America and settled in Varna, Illinois. In 1902 the Rosvall family moved to Iowa and settled near Alden where he was engaged in farming. In 1912 he moved to the Dows community where he has lived since.

He is survived by his wife and three children: Ernest of Dows; Mrs. M.F. (Hilda) Aide also of Dows and Mrs. Charles Johnson of Wenona, Illinois; also one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
