June 14, 1920 ---- March 17, 1994

Lyle D. Deibler, 73, passed away, Thursday, March 17, 1994, at North Iowa Mercy Health Center, in Mason City, Iowa. Lyle, the son of William and Matilda (Escher) Deibler, was born June 14, 1920 at home in Kanawha. He attended the Kanawha schools and graduated in 1939. Lyle served his country in the U.S. Army from January 1942 until December 1945 in the European theater. After returning home, he worked at the Kanawha Creamery. Lyle then went to work for the Postal Service as a clerk and then as a rural letter carrier for over 35 years. Lyle enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and bowling. He was a member of the Kanawha United Methodist Church, Rural Letter Carriers Association, VFW and the Kanawha Fire Department.

Survivors include his sister, Lois Charbonneaux and her husband, Floyd, Jr. and their children, Floyd Mitchell and Wm. Michael and his wife Jan and their children Just and John; a sister, Della Middlesworth of Dallas Center, Iowa; a brother, Alvin and his wife Mary Rasmussen of Algona, Iowa; two sisters-in-law: Ethelyn Rasmussen, Kanawha, Iowa; Mabel Deibler, Waterloo, Iowa; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Leonard Rasmussen, Art, Charlie and Loren Deibler.
